And ye shall go forth in the power of my spirit, preaching my gospel, two by two, in my name, lifting up your voices as with the sound of a trump, declaring my word like unto angels of God.

Elder Peterson the Singer!!

Hey Everyone,

There was not a lot that happened this week. It has been pretty slow, but we did have some good lessons. We talked to Pat and Kristine about the word of wisdom.  Then we invited them to try to be clean for 10 days and to see how much better they feel. After they said they would try it Pat just stood up and walked to his room and brought back his cigarettes, and he gave them to us. So he is really trying to quit and Kristine is prego so she is not really smoking any ways, so hopefully it will be really easy for them.
Last Saturday we went to a members house for dinner,  it was really fun.  After it was over the wife got up and handed us two paper bags and said follow me! So we did, and she took us down stairs to their food storage and said go shopping! She filled both bags up with all kinds of food! It was awesome so now we have food for the next two years! haha

We have a lesson with Bob Max tonight and we are going to invite him to be Baptized, and we are hoping he says yes because he knows the church is true.  I just don't think he knows it yet. The last lesson we had with them, his wife brought up where the gold plates are and why we don't have them, and Bob said "well where are the ten commandments"? haha And then she brought up polygamy and he defended the church on that!  So he is a really awesome guy.
But other than that we really had a week of cancellations and we did a lot of driving around and when you drive around long enough you start to sing in the car and when you sing in the car long enough you make videos of it so............ya here it is!!

Trent!!

Hey Everone,

This week was transfer week!  Elder Nelson and I are both staying in Plummer for at lease six more weeks. I am happy about that because I am just getting to know everyone one and I'm just starting to fit in.

This week we have three people on date to be baptised!
#1 is Kristine Kennach, she is 8 1/2 months prego!  We are hoping she will have her baby early so there will be no problems with the baptisom because it is only one week after her due date. Her husband wants to baptize her but he is having a problem with smoking and drinking.  He just got a job where he has to be clean from both so that is very good.

#2 is Isaiah Louie, we have not been able to talk to him because his step mom is mean, and wont let us teach him at his house.  So we have to do it at his friends house.  It is hard to teach him so he might fall off date.

#3 is Rachel, she is a adopted Chinese girl who dose not speak a lot of English so it's kinda hard to teach her.  She is really smart and really funny. We were teaching her the other day and we were showing her pictures and there was one of Chinese people praying and she says "OH Chinese" and she was so happy to see Chinese people haha.

We also had a good lesson at the Maxes this week.  They ask a lot of questions and she says she will never convert, but she will she just does not know it yet!  She is just barely finding out that the book of mormon is just like the bible and it doesn't help that she reads anti mormon books all the time ether.

We also met a family with six kids who want to come to church and who are looking for the right faith but we just have to get them there.  Their names are the Westons.

We also had a scary moment!
This week we got a referral to go see this guy who lives in the middle of nowhere.  So we go out to see him, and a member family that goes to our branch said they think they know who they are.  She works for the ambulance and she told us to be very carefully because she goes out to this house all the time and they are scary people! They were not sure if this was the house that we were going to or not but they said they have two really big white dogs.  And if we saw those dogs then it was that house. As we are driving there they called us again and said "do not go in that house whatever you do, do not go in there because you will be in a situation that you don't want to be in and if we don't here from you in 3 hour we will call the cops"! So we get to the house and there are no dogs, but its a really old gross house with like 6 broke down cars.  We go and knock on the door and here comes out  2 huge white dogs!  We both looked at each other and we both said "ohhh no" at the same time haha. So this guy comes to the door, and he had on a tie dye shirt on with tight jeans and no front teeth. We are talking to him and he invites us inside!  He said "you two wait right here and let me hold the dogs down then you can come in". Then I said "no we cant come in we have a aaaa an appointment to get to, we just wanted to stop by to see how you are doing".  He said that we could call him Brother Brown and that he is a member of the LDS Mormon church. Then he said that his wife was not a member and he was telling her that Mormons help out other Mormons.  Then he said "so I need some gas for my truck so I can get to church on Sunday or a new car or something" and we both just said "oh cool cool". I think he wanted us to pull out our wallets and give him money right there. Then he asked if he could have one of those book things that are blue. I said a book of Mormon?  He said "ya that's it i need two of those" so I said "ok we have some in our car we will go get some hang on". He said "OK I will come with you". Then as we are walking out there he asked us if we could ride bikes the next time we came out and its like 50 mile away, so we said no. Then he said "ok well then next time you come you can just park right here" and he pointed to like the back of his house where its all muddy and like hidden. That was weird, and when we got to our car we open the trunk and he starts asking if he can have our DVDs that we show people, and stuff he didn't even need. He said that he used to have this one dvd that is only available to missionaries and there use only, but he lost it so he wanted ours.  It was just really weird and sketchy so I don't think we will go out there again, but if we do we will take an Indian member who everyone calls "Papa". He is always packing heat so that will be good!
Then two days after that we are driving back from an appointment and this one kid starts waving at us.  As we drive past, his friend is walking around with his pants down so we got mooned. I never though i would see that much skin on my mission but whatever.
I love you all!

Hey Everyone,
This week had some good in it and some bad. I will start with the funny or fun stuff and go in to the not so fun.
So the first thing I want to talk about is what I might get to do if I stay in plummer this next transfer. We teach this lady who trains horses and has attack dogs! I asked if I could get in a bite suit and get attacked. She said "yes if I can find a bite suit for you"!  So if she can find one I will be getting ripped up by a k9 police dog, and cant wait!  I will get it on video then send it if it happens.
So we passed around a meal sign up list around church the other week and that was a very bad idea! We had people sign up that should not ever be aloud to cook for humans!  This one lady made us home made pizza and what I thought was grilled cheese. But the pizza was cold and not really cooked so it was just like dough and the grilled cheese was not cheese at all it was some type of apple cheery mix turn over which was cold and tasted like the apples were not to....fresh. So I don't think we will do that again but there is good places to eat. For some reason everyone is bringing us pizza with a rotisserie chicken I don't know if there is some type of sale going on or what but its kinda funny.

so now to the missionary work. we have three on dates
1. Kristien Kenniach
2. Isaiah Louie
3. This adopted Chinese girl. Her mom is a member so we can't really take too much credit for that one but we will anyways.
I just hope all of them stay on date. We had Branden fall of date because he is still smoking. He said he was 4 days clean without smoke but he was just lying to us.  He never did stop, so we might have to drop him for a little bit. We are starting to break in to the rez a little more. The Indians here don't really like Mormons but we got a rez kid to come to church. He is really cool, his grandma is a member and his name is Isaiah Cammble and he really likes church and stuff. We are trying to go get him to come out to young mens and other activities. We met a guy named Bill who use to be a meth addict and he is trying to clean up his life and get clean. He wants to come to church and he is going to AA and loves it. He sounds really cool but we just need to get him to church. Well that's all for me this week I will see you next week!

1st Baptism!

Hello Everyone,
This week ended with a baptism. Her name is Sammie and she is awesome,
but it didnt go as smooth as I had hoped.  The day started out like
this...we drive to the St. Mary's church because our church dosent have
a font.   The Elders there forgot to turn off the water and over
flowed the baptism font,  that made them run out of hot water so the
water was freezing cold.  We didnt tell Sammie that the water she
was about to get dunked in was colder then the artic so when she got
in she was just saying cold cold cold water. So I hurry and grabbed
her and said we will go fast and hurried and did it. When she came up
out of the water she had the meanest look on her face and I dont think
thats what you want when your baptised so I said "want to go under
again" just to make it worrse and I though she was going to drown me
haha!!!   But I think I could have taken her.....I have been working out so
yeah! Anyways, after it was over she told her mom that I tried to
drown her in an ice bath and that made me feel bad but I dont think I
will ever forget this baptism.
We met this 17 year old kid named
Isaiah and he is so cool. He wants to know everything there is to know
about religion but he beleives everything so he has some really off
the wall questions, but we have had two lessons with him and he is on
date to be baptized on April 7th. We have another investigator on date
for march 24th and he has a smoking problem and he has to be clean
from here on out of we have to move the date. But he has been smoke
free for 4 days now but he lies to us all the time so we have to ask
his wife if he really is and she said he is. So I really hope they are
telling the truth.
We had a training in Spokane this week, so we drove
up there and I got to see all my friends from the MTC which was pretty
cool. We learned a lot about loving your comp. and everything so its
a good thing I have a great compainion!

Well I think thats all for me
Love you all!!!!!

Wolf!

Hey Everyone,

Not to much happened this week, but I will still try to tell you about everything.  Last week we were playing basketball and the high school team came in and asked us to play them.  We worked them over pretty good. It was so funny, they were all talking to us and being nice because we could play ball then we told them we were missionary's for the LDS church and they just all walked away and stopped talking to us  haha. It was so funny they were all wondering why we all went by Elder. One young man didn't and he told us to stop by his house after the game so I guess having mad skills pays off.....I'm just saying.
My first baptism will be this Saturday,  a 8 year old girl named Sammie.  She is so funny, she always has the biggies smile on her face and she has red curly hair. Yesterday after church, just when it was over she went up to the stand when everyone was just talking,  she started singing  into the mic "families can be together for ever" and everyone joined in and sang with here it was the cutest thing ever!
We had a zone conference this week with the Mission President.  We talk about how important the book of Mormon is and how we need to use it more and not the bible so all of our lessons this week were on the book of Mormon.
We went to Bob and Sherie Max,  they are both awesome she is very Catholic and she wont even hold a book of Mormon. so the first think i asked her in the lesson was do you want a copy of the book of Mormon so she can follow along and she said no before i even finished my sentence so we went on with the lesson and we showed her the safety for the sole talk by Elder Holland. You can watch it on  lds.org  after it was over she asked us a few questions about the book of Mormon then she said, can i have a book of Mormon i would like to read it. we didn't even have to ask her after she said that we said yes and Bobs mouths just dropped.  He said this is such a big turn around i can't  believe it. Then they just held hands and cried for like two min. i could not believe it. the book of Mormon has the strongest converting power i have ever seen! well that's it for me this week Love you all!
