And ye shall go forth in the power of my spirit, preaching my gospel, two by two, in my name, lifting up your voices as with the sound of a trump, declaring my word like unto angels of God.

...and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths..... Isa 2:3

Hey Everyone!

This week we have been trying to get to know the members and get them to give us referrals. We have been doing a 3 week program with some families. The ones we are doing it on has been working really well, they are getting to know us better and to trust us more.
This Sunday we had two lessons just happen out of no where. It was really cool! After church, a lady invited us over for dinner and said her son in-law in a non-member. So we talked with him and answered a few question then we picked him up as a new investigator. Then after that, we went to visit an elderly lady in our ward.  Her grandson who is like 30 wanted to have a bible study with us, so we read the book of Mormon with him and set up another time to meet with him.
That was really cool to have two lessons and two new investigators just pop up from out of no where!

I am having a great time and loving the work I miss you all and I love you too!!

And there shall be no more curse..... Rev 22:3

Hey Everyone,

This week was my first week with Elder Wendt, he is awesome! He was in the MTC with me! So, we already know each other and are good friends.  I'm excited for the next 6 weeks!

This week we have been going around visiting members. And getting to know the ward and build their trust. Since I have only been here 7 weeks and Wendt has only been here 1. It is going good we are getting to know the ward better which is good so we can get more referrals from the members so the ward can grow! The branch is about to die off in the next couple of weeks. Every one of the members we have right now are going to school some where else or going on their mission soon. We are going to have to wait until school starts up here to get the branch going again. So we are trying to focus on the ward a little more right now.

So there is a Lewiston curse that happens every time a new missionary comes in that something bad happens! And it happened again the start of the week Elder wendt is allergic to nuts so the day before he got here he ate some peanut butter brownies and got sent to the ER for 4 hours haha now he has to carry an eppie pen with him every where he goes!

Everything is going great I'm loving Lewiston and my companion. I am very excited for the work to fire up the next 5 weeks!!!

Praise ye the Lord. Praise the Lord, O my soul. Ps. 146:1

Hey Everyone

This week was awesome!
First of all transfers are this week and I am staying but Elder Whiting is leaving. I am getting Elder Wendt he came out with me from the MTC!!!

This week we had some fun experiences!

We were Knocking on doors and we knocked on Kevins door.  He came out and laughed at us and he was making fun of us we could tell he was not interested. He asked us why he even opened the door to us and I said "because we are two awesome people ready to talk to you"! He laughed and said "no because you guys are retarded". After talking for a while he saw that we were normal people, so he told us to sit on his steps and he was going to talk with us. So we talked to him for about a hour before he said wait here and ran back inside! He then came out with a tin of shoe shine and he told me to give him my shoes. He then shined our shoes for us and he invited us back next week for a steak dinner haha! Its funny how people can change after they get to know a person!

We also are starting to teach this amazing guy and his family again. He has been trying to get to see his kid who looks just like him for like 5 months, and finally got to!  He is such a cool guy!! I think he will be getting baptized some time in the near future!

I love you all!

Wherefore, as ye are agents, ye are on the Lord's errand; and whatever ye do according to the will of the Lord is the Lord's business. D&C 64:29

Hey Everyone,

This week the YSA Branch has been booming with missionary work!  We have been giving church tours to all the members and telling them to invite their friends on them.  It is so spiritual and amazing!  We have 7 new investigators in the branch and we should get 3 more this next week if it all works out the way we planned it!! On the other hand, the ward we are over is not doing the best.  We can't get the members to invite there friends or give us referrals, so it just up to us to get investigators.

We had two Investigators that we have on date for the 28th. But nether one of them could make it to church this week so they had to fall off date! :( But a cool thing about one of them is Dakoda might be going on tour with a band called Silent Theory.  They called him up and said come audition. Then they told him if their lead singer backs out or gets dropped, he will be the one to replace him!! It's pretty cool, but if he leaves to go on tour for 3 months I dont think he will be getting baptized any time soon!!

We got dropped my the kid from Africa because he called his mom and told her about us, and she said if he keeps investigating she would cut off all ties to him and ban him form the family and he could not go back to Africa.  It was really sad to see so we told him to keep reading the BOM and one day he will get the chance to learn more about our church and be baptized. So he took all of our reading material and said ok and thanked us for sharing what we have shared with him. It was sad to see but he added us as friends on Facebook so we will see him after the mission! haha yes!!

I am being safe, happy, and trying to be healthy! I miss you all and love you all especially you who is reading this I love you the most!!

Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the Lord of hosts. Malachi 3:1

Hey Everyone,
This week was a good week!

Our YSA Branch is booming right now! It went from about 10-15 people to thirty, it is crazy and so fun!! We have been finding a lot of new investigators! We found a guy that is from Uganda Africa, he runs track for LCSC and he is a beast! He runs his mile in 4mins. It is crazy!! We started to talk to him about his life and he said he grew up in a religion and when he came to the US he thought it was so crazy how many churches were here. So we related his life to Joseph Smith's life, and he said "yes that is just like me"! And he loves us! He said he already knows the book of mormon is true and he has  a big change he is going to take in his life, but he has to talk to his family about it first! So it was really awesome to see how into the gospel he is. The lord has prepared him tons!!

...the world shall rejoice: and ya shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy!! John 16:20

Hey Everyone,
This week was really fun!  Some crazy stuff happened last P-day.  We were driving and we needed to flip a u turn and the Elder that was driving tried to flip it in to small of an area.   He hit the curb and blew a tire!! Then after we got new tires we were diving and a bird flew in to our window!  It was funny!!  Then right after that a cop pulled us over because he got our car mixed up this a stocker they have been trying to catch!! And it turns out the cop is the father a kid we are teaching the lessons too!!! Haha small world I guess!!

This week we are really trying to find more people, so we have been out trying to get people to come on church tours and listen to us! It has been going great too!!  We have found like 4 or 5 new people to teach each week!  We have this one investigator who really understands what we teach and he can tell us what we teach really well.  He said that he wants to take the 5 lessons then get baptized!  It's awesome, but he is on probation so he can't get baptized for a year unless we get approval form the first presidency! Love you all

"And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm" Acts 28:5

Hey Everyone,
I sent some pics of last week and some this week. That is the dog that bit me and what it did to my arm! Then my comp. in the ER because he passed out haha!

This week we had some funny things happen and some good teaching moments! First things first, we had a lesson with two 20 year old kids and they love the church!! And they are on date for baptism for the 28th of July!

My mission president is leaving June 28th and my new mission president gets here on June 28th!! And we meet him July 1 so that is pretty exciting!

Lewiston put on this big ten days of praise party down town. We found 4 people to go on church tours, it was awesome!

Some funny story's now!

-We were teaching two little girls who are 7 and 6 and we asked them what they are thankful for that god has given them. And the 6 year old said right off the bat "scissors"!! haha
-We found this little green taco van and we thought "hey lets eat there".  So we did and we got tongue nachos-we call them the gift of tongues nachos! (mission joke its ok if you dont think thats funny)

Love you all!!

Many are the afflictions of the righteous... Ps.34:19

Hey Everyone,

This week I got sent to Lewiston ID.  My first day here I got bit by a dog taking my bike up the stairs to my apartment.
But my companion, Elder Whiting, thought he had to one up me...so he passed out in the ER when we were visiting people!! He got put up in the ER haha!! So it has been a crazy week! We are both fine!! It's just funny what has been happening to us haha.

I will send you pictures next week because I forgot my camera to send pics to you!

Lewiston is a lot different than Plummer. Bigger city, more people, and i'm on bikes instead of a car full time! But it is still fun and i'm still trying to get to know everyone and the people i'm teaching!

Sorry this email is short but i'm running out of time emailing and I have to go Love you all!

First Transfer!

Hey Everyone,

I am going to start off by telling all of you that I am leaving Plummer and going to Lewiston ID! It will be good to have some change! I can't wait, it is going to be awesome!

Elder Stubbs is leaving to they are bringing Sister Missionaries into Plummer so it can have a fresh start!!

This week in Plummer we did a lot of service for the Maxe's. We cleaned out there goat pen and I have never moved so much poopy hay in my life!!! When I first started I dug my pitch fork in the hay and when I lifted it up the smell hit me and it really took me back to the good ol' farm days haha!  But really it was gross haha!

Sherry said she was not going to meet with us or read with us any more but we could still come by and read with Bob. So we do and even though she wont read, she will listen to us and ask questions. So she thinks she is done meeting with us but she really isn't! They were both really sad to see me leave! I will miss them and I hope one day they will be baptized and go to the temple!

I can't wait to write you all from Lewiston and tell you how it is going there it is going to be way fun!

Love Elder Peterson!

"Is any thing too hard for the lord?" Gen. 18:14

Hey Everyone!

This week has been......well just bad but you seem to make the best of the bad weeks out here! It's been bad just because its like everything we do just ends up going bad! We already had a rough week because all the people we go to see are ether not home or just see that its us and don't answer the door.

This one lady, we knocked and knocked because her car was there and the lights were on and she never answered so we walked away. As we got into the car her grand daughter rides up on her bike and walks inside.  So it just has been depressing. Then to top it of we got dropped by Sherry Max. But she said we still can come over and teach her husband! So its awkward to go over there now and teach him when she is just walking around the kitchen and listening to us.

Kristine Kennach moved her date to the 16th instead of the 9th because she had something going on the 9th. So if I dont stay another transfer then I wont get to see her be baptized.

I don't really want to stay another transfer because I kinda want to see someplace new and have change! There is never a week of my mission that I don't love!!!!

So there was some good stuff that happened this week! We found a new place to live but it has to be finished being built. We are waiting for that. Everyone wants me to stay here another transfer because they all love me! I feel so loved so thats good!! umm....and Plummer is doing better than most places in this mission so that makes me feel a little better! I know I will be fine and it will get better so I will push through it!!

I love you all!!
