Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak:for your work shall be rewarded. 2 Chr. 15:7

Hey Everyone,

This week was good. It was transfers week so we worked even harder. Transfer calls came and Elder Morain is getting transferred and I am staying in Northport. I will be Training a new missionary again....for the Third time. It is still fun to train. I guess I just know how to do the 12 week program really well by now.

This week as pretty exciting with our investigators! We have been working with Rita this last week, we invited her to be baptized on Oct. 5th she said yes. So that was pretty exciting!

A couple weeks ago there was this lady who was not to nice to us when we went by her place. Then we were walking by and we started talking to her and her friends again, she was pretty cool this time we found out she is an artist a pretty good one too! so we decided to draw her a picture and ask her if she wanted to go on a church tour. So we did, she loved the picture. She put it on facebook and all of her friends were telling us how cool it was. She also invited us to go paint her house with her husband and her friends. It was really cool. I really hope it can lead to something!

...Christ took upon them, gladly, the name of Christ, or Christians as they were called.... Alma 46:15

This week in Northport things are going good. It is Labor day weekend so we have been going around to all the things people are doing and have been talking to them about Jesus.

We found a couple, Blaze and Travis, they are in their 20's. They are really cool they believe a lot of things we do. So we invited them on a church tour they said ye, but they ended up ditching out on us.  Blaze was called into work so we are going to call them and see if we can set up another one for another day. They really wanted to go so I think this could go somewhere.

We have one more week left of this transfer. I don't really know what is going to happen I could stay or I could go who knows!?!?

The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure... Deut. 28:12

This week we went and helped this lady move a ton of appliances out of her house into this trailer. It was kind of a pain in the butt, but we made the best of it haha. We took a bunch of sweet pics!  It was pretty fun!

We also have been teaching this dry Mormon lady who has been coming to church for years and years but never would get baptized. We are trying to teach her and find out why she has not been baptized yet so wish us luck!

Therefore turn thou to they God: keep mercy and judgment, and wait on thy God continually. Hosea 12:6

Hello Everyone,

This week was great. We have been teaching some really cool people but they are not progressing really fast. They are slowly getting there. None of them are going to be baptized anytime soon but they are learning the gospel slowly and trying to become better. That is the beauty of the gospel we don't need to be perfect to use the gospel anyone can use it. That is what it is there for! I have seen so many people's lives change since they have tried to live closer to the gospel!

We had a branch activity this week and it was great there were some less active members there. They go to become better friends with some of the more active people in the branch so maybe that way they will feel comfortable coming to church. For some people, if they are not socially converted they wont come to church.

...you shall be a lively member in this order; and inasmuch as you are faithful in keeping all former commandments you shall be blessed forever. Amen. D&C 92:2

Hey everyone,
This week has been pretty good.

I am loving being up in Northport, and I am loving being with E. Morain. He is a funny kid and we get along great!

I have only been in this branch for 8 weeks and it already feels like home, everyone is so nice here! All the members like us so they feed us and give us people to teach so it's great! I could possibly end my mission here, and I think I would be ok with that because this area is beautiful and I am having a great time here. I don't think I would trade it for the world! I love my mission.

He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. Ps. 24:5

Hey everyone,
This week was awesome, well kinda. It was transfer week so we had a lot of meetings and driving to do.

My new comp. is Elder Morain. He is only here for a little while until he gets his visa so he can go to his mission in Brazil. He is a great missionary he has a lot of spunk to do missionary work.

Felicia is Baptized now as you all know.  She is still doing great. She is getting her husband more active in the church, he as been for the past 4 weeks and they just had their baby blessed this last week.  I got to stand in the circle, it was way cool, it was my first baby blessing.

Northport is still doing great the people here are starting to get used to having missionaries here so people are starting to talk to us and things are moving forward our branch will be a ward in no time!

...for I am filled with the power of God... 1 Ne. 17:48

Hey Everyone,
This week was great! It ended with the baptism of Felicia. She is a super awesome person who loves the gospel and she has been working very hard for this!
It was transfers this week and I found out that I am staying here and I am training a new missionary. I am now a District leader. This transfer should be very fun!
Love you all.

...who shall stand in his holy place? Ps. 24:3

Hey Everyone,
This week was great!

Felicias baptism was pushed back to this next Saturday do to some confusion so we will be able to see a baptism on the last day week of the transfer! There is planed to be 3 baptisms that day at the church so it is going to be a great day for this district!

I get the opportunity to go to the temple this week as well. We are going tomorrow with another group of Elders. It's going to be fun. The Temple is a great place to get about from the stress of missionary work or any kind of work for that matter!

Northport is doing great! the members here are very helpful and they love doing missionary work! I hope you all have a great week!

...support the families of those who are called and must needs be sent unto the world to proclaim the gospel unto the world. D&C 75:24

Hey Everyone,
I can not believe it is "P" day again. It feels like yesterday that we were here emailing. It's crazy how time just flies by!

We have been having a pretty good week. We have been working a lot with the members in the branch so they can learn to trust us and then we will help them invite their friends to have dinner with the missionaries or something. It's working! We are finding people to teach and all is well in the small town of Northport!

Felicia is getting baptized on the 20th, so this Saturday. She has been meeting with missionaries for a long time and now she is finally ready to be baptized. She has had some problems with her family not supporting her but she has pushed through it like a champ. She has a very strong testimony in the gospel and in our savior Jesus Christ. I cant wait to she her baptized she is amazing.

Love Elder Peterson

...I will also ask of you one question... Mark 11:29

This week in beautiful Northport Washington was a good week!
We were able to teach one of our investigators a few times this week. She is preparing to be baptized on July 20th and she is working hard towards that goal.
It seems like this week was the week where we got 50 potential investigators. But now we have to follow up with everyone and try to set up lessons with those who are interested.
It also seemed like this was a week full of questions. Almost everyone we meet with this week had a list and a half full of questions. Which is really good because that means they are studying and really wanting to learn the truth.
Some good things are going on in Northport I'm excited to see what is going to happen in the weeks to come.
Love you all

New Area!

Hello Everyone,

This week in Northport WA was great!

We had one investigator come to church and she loved it. She will be getting baptized on the 20th.

We have been here two weeks now and we just got a house. So we are no longer living in a camper hooray!! It has been really fun camping on my mission but I like the house better.

We have been working with this part member family the Watkins.  They have been doing good, they just need to quit smoking and come to church. We are helping them in every way we know how.

We are also doing a member 30 day fast. Every member fasts for one day of the month and pray for missionary work.  It has been doing good so far, and we are only on day one so wish us luck!

...knoweth that he hath but a short time. Rev 12;12

 Hey everyone,

This week was good. I got transfer calls and I am going to Northport Washington and staying in the Spokane mission.

Love you bye

...but the righteous are bold as a lion. Prov. 28;1

Hey Everyone,
This week has gone by way to fast! Kind of like this whole transfer, kind of just like my whole mission! I cant believe I only have 7 months left. It is crazy how fast it is going by.

Anyways enough trunkyness. This week has been great. I have been working with all of our investigators pretty close. We thought we might have lost one this week because it seemed like she was avoiding us, but it just turned out that she was having some problems with her head. So she was visiting the doctors and having to rest a lot. So all was well there.
We have been being trained on how to teach people, not lessons.  I have been trying to use that with our investigators. Trying to be bold but loving at the same time. It's kind of hard to do.
I love being here but transfers are coming up and they are splitting the mission.  There will be a lot of changes and a lot of moving around.  I think I will be moving.
Love Elder Peterson.

And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and virtue knowledge. 2 Pet 1;5

Hey, this week was pretty fun.
It was a week full of exchanges, I got to stay in my area with Elder Carlile and then I went to Hayden lake with Elder Brodlale. I don't really know why I told you their names it's not like you know who i'm talking about anyways. But it was fun and I learned a lot of good things.
Exchanges are always fun, when I was on the exchange with Elder Brodlale we went to his district meeting. Elder Ebmeyer is his District Leader and he did a pretty good District Meeting. We talked about our Christlike Attributes that we have been working on. I have been working on Diligence, so far I think it is going great.

...he holds men accountable for their acts... D&C 134;1

This week was pretty good for the most part, other than some stuff. We will start out with the bad stuff because it is funnier that way.
First off, I backed into a post this week and now I can't drive for awhile.
We have three investigators who all have said they want to get baptized but there is one thing holding each of them back. It's either going to church, paying tithing, or getting married.
Sooo it has been a little saddening this week .  I don't think any of them will be baptized when i'm still here because transfers are in 3 weeks. I will probably be leaving.
So the area is doing good and the work is going forward just slower then I would like, but you cant do to much about that.

Hey Everyone,

This week has been good. We have a new person on date for Baptism. His name is Glen, he is Jeremy and Shelli's roommate.  He is a pretty cool guy. He gets really into it when we teach him and he is doing it for the right reasons too.  We asked him why he wanted to be baptized and he said "because it's all about the gospel of Jesus Christ, it's the whole reason why we are here". So it's going good with him and Jeremy and Shelli.

Everything is going great we have a pretty steady teaching pool right now.  It's warm, about in the 80's and 90's, but it is going to rain on us for the next couple days.

I miss you all

Love Elder Peterson

This week was transfers week, and it turns out that I am staying in Spirit Lake for 6 more weeks with Elder Johnson.

We are close to having two people get baptized, so if that can happen in the next six weeks that would be amazing, but there are always things that get in the way.

We are still doing good in the area with people to teach.  We have been working hard so I'm glad we get to stay for 6 more weeks!

I love you all.

Hey Everyone,

This week was great!  We did a lot of service and it was very fun. It's always good to get out of a suit and work for a little bit.

We had 2 investigators come to church this last week and they are super legit! One of them text us later Sunday night and told us that she was very thankful for what we do and she was so happy she was able to come to church. I really hope she can keep progressing and be baptized when I am still here. That would be really amazing to see.

Elder Peterson

Hey Everyone,
This week was a normal week until Sunday. Sunday was Stake Conference and I thought that it was going to be the slowest day in missionary history because we are usually in meetings at the church all day. So it went from 5 hours of church to like 2.  We were going to have to find a ton of stuff to do. So like usual, we planned for the day, and then almost nothing went as planned. The people we set up to see either dodged us or canceled. But then, out of the blue we had some recent converts call us and have us come teach them. Then we had another one call us, and then another for a blessing! It was pretty amazing. And it filled our day.  It went form our slowest day of the week to our most productive, so it was really fun.

To top things off it was snowing almost all day Sunday.

And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him. Mark 1:10

This week was a wonderful week.

We taught some good lessons and we are working with the members well.  And to top it off, Erin was baptized this last Saturday its was an amazing service. The spirit was super strong, and there were a lot of good people form the ward there to show her that the church cares about her.  It made her feel right at home i'm sure. She even got up on Sunday and gave a beautiful testimony for fast Sunday!

Elder Johnson is learning the lessons and teaching well.  He is still a bit nervous, but who isn't as a new missionary.

I love you all

For by my spirit will I enlighten them... D&C 76:10

Hey Everyone,

This week was fun.
Elder Johnson's second week in the field and he is loving it.

We are working with some pretty cool people right now and we have a baptism coming up this Saturday. Her name is Erin, and she is really cool. She has had a rough life growing up, and now she will be getting a really big church family who will love her and help her progress in the gospel.

It has been very springy here. It has rained for the past 4 days, and this morning we found a little snow on car.

We are working with a few other people right now, but none of them seem to be trying to jump into the font any time soon but you never know people can surprise you.

I love you all and I hope you have a great week!

...for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people. Isa. 56:7

Hey Everyone,

This week was the first week I was training and it was pretty fun!  My new missionary's name is Elder Johnson from Morgon Utah. Yes, another Utah missionary. I would think Utah would be running out of people by now but I guess not. He was 18 for a week when he came out then he turned 19 last Friday.  He is a really cool kid, he is doing a great job at teaching and everything else.

We got to go to the temple this last Saturday to see a family I worked with in my first area. It was amazing I am so proud of them.

Our area is doing great and we have about 2 or 3 people we are working closely with and trying to progress them to baptism.

Love you all
Elder Peterson

...thy SPIRIT is good.... Ps. 143:10

Hey Everyone,

This week we got transfer calls so I am staying in Spirit Lake and training a new missionary! He could be one of the new 18 year old kids coming in, so that would be really cool. And Elder Bobo is leaving.

We did have a cool experience this morning we were calling our investigators to tell them the news about transfers.  One of our investigators, who wants to be baptized but can't because she lives with a guy friend, she told us that they got into a little fight and he is moving out. So now she can be baptized!  That was really cool. They have been wanting to be baptized for a long time now and things are just starting to get in motion!

We also have two other people that are close to baptism and are progressing pretty fast. So this next transfer should be pretty fun! I will keep you updated on how things are going and how the new missionary is.

...Thy sons shall come from far... Isa. 60:4

Hey everyone,

This week was pretty good. We have been able to pick up some great investigators. We have one on date for April 13th and she is super excited about that.

Transfers are coming up next week and I hope I get to stay here in Spirit Lake. A lot of good things are happening and they are going to continue to happen but you never know.

We get our first batch of 18 year olds this transfer so there will be a lot of people training!

Hey Everyone,
This week was a short week because I e-mailed you on Wednesday, so not a lot of new stuff has happened. But the area is doing great! We are starting to get a lot of lessons and some good investigators, we just need to get a baptism now that will be the next step. The members in the Lake Land 2nd ward are great too! They have been packing us with meals and splits and referrals. So I am hoping in about a week or two we will have a pretty good teaching pool!

And he said unto them, set your hearts unto all the words which I testify among you this day... Deut. 32

Hey Everyone,

This week has been pretty good. We are finally getting use to the new area and the new people. The ward here is very pumped up about missionary work!! It's awesome!! The area has been dead and no one has been wanting to hear the gospel for a while now but we got a heart beat last Sunday. There was a lady there who has been coming for the last couple weeks with her friend.  She used to meet with missionaries in the past and just was not ready and would not come to church. But now she is coming and I think she is more ready now then she has ever been so that should pan out to be our first Baptism in the area.

Hey Everyone,

This week I am in Spirit Lake ID.  It is a huge area with a lot of snow! We are opening up the area so we have no investigators or anything, so it's going to be a lot of finding people to teach. I am enjoying it so far. The members up here are awesome! They are super missionary minded, and they love having Elders in the area.

I ask all of you to pray that Elder Bobo and I can find some investigators.

I love you all!

Hey Everyone,

I am finally leaving Omak. After 6 months, I am going to Couer D'Alene ID to open up a new area as Sr. Comp to Elder Bobo. The area is called Spirit lake. I know nothing about it.
Omak has been really good to me I have grown a lot I love the people here but it is time for me to move on to new things.

This last week in omak I went on an exchange with Elder Magana and we went to Orovill.  It has been said that Jack Black's Parents live around there.  We were talking with some people and one person gave us a hint to were they might live. So we picked that area to trackt for that day. We didnt think anything would come of it we thought it was just a wive's tale.  Until we pulled up to the mans house and he came out to say hello.  He said his name was something Black (I dont remember his first name) and I thought no freaking way!! Then he invited us in and I thought again NO FREAKING WAY!!!!  We talked with him and his wife about their family. All 4 of his kids live in california and of course there on the wall was a picture of Jack Black with a girl! It was true we had found Jack Black's parents house!!!!  We asked him if he would ever be interested in learning more about the gospel and about our church, and he said no he was happy with his church and that was it. He was a super nice guy.

I hope you all are having a wonderful week and I cant wait to write you next week and tell you all about my new area I love you all.

Hey Everyone,

This could very well be my last week in Omak. We have transfers next Sunday and I have been here for 6 months, so I bet I will leave.

It has been warming up here and the snow is just starting to melt and get everything muddy.

We had a good week with lessons.  We had like 5 People tell us they are going to come to church and to watch for them. And every single one of them blew us off. We called them all that morning no answer form any of them. It was very frustrating to have such a good week then nothing to show for it in the end. But even though that happened we are still going to work hard with them and get them to come to church one of these weekends.

I hope everyone has a happy valentines day!
love you all.

And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Matt. 16:19

Hey everyone,

This week was pretty good for Omak!  We have been working with a lot of less actives trying to bring them back and we have been getting a few of them back.  It is really hard when someone gets in that rut of not going to church and they become numb to the feeling of why they should go and they just dont care. So what we have been doing is asking them what they really love and enjoy about this life and they usually say there family or something. We then get to tell them about how great the blessings are for your family and your marriage when you follow the teaching of the Prophets and of Jesus Christ. Because when you do that you can be happy not only in this life but in the life to come and for all eternity. We all know this life is going to end some time but the next one wont so why not do everything you can in this life to prepare for that life. It might be hard to go back at first, it might feel like your out of place. But just remember that's how Joseph Smith felt right before Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ appeared to him. I know if we all do what is right and do what we can God will handle the rest.

Love you all.

Hello,

This week was full of finding and of service!

We had our Zone Leaders come up and spend about two days with us and we got a lot of tracting and less active work done. It was a great experience and I learned a lot.

There is a lady in our ward who needed some help with dry wall and she did not want to ask the bishop for help. So her daughter asked us if we could find someone who knew how to do it, then come over and do it when she was at work one day. We did find someone and she was super surprised and happy. It was really fun to put a smile on a persons face.

I love you all

Hello Everyone,

This last week I hit my one year mark and it is crazy to think that I only have one year left! Everyone is telling me that the next year will fly by faster then this first year did. If that is true then I will be home in no time. I have kinda mixed feeling about it, but I still have a whole year and I have learned so much in my first year. I am super excited to learn more this next year.

In Omak this week we have been going to see a bunch of the less actives on the ward list. We were able to clean up a lot of the ward list and found out who wants to come back to church and who doesn't.

This last Missionary meeting our relief society president said "you guys are ROCKEN" haha. It was funny, she is a really nice lady.

We had some good news at the start of the week! One of our investigators that we thought just fell off the face of the earth, we finally got a hold of him. He was in Hawaii with a bunch of his Mormon friends and he came back and now wants to be baptized it is great!

I hope you all are having a great week! I love you all!

...good is the word of the Lord... 2 Kings 20:19

Hey Everyone,

This week was good and bad, bad because our only investigator in Coulee Dam dropped us. But good because we also might have found a way cool family to teach out there. So it's like we give up something good to get something better!

We have been working a lot on finding investigators because after the two Baptisms we just had, our teaching pool has gone down way to much.  We have been knocking on doors and working with members!

I also got to hold a Hedge Hog cool huh! Sorry the pictures are blurry my comp took the pic.

I love you all so very much!

And the people believed... Ex. 4:31

Hey everyone,

This week was transfers and I will be staying in Omak with Elder Wydner for 6 more weeks.

We baptized two people last transfer and our goal this transfer is two more!  I think we can do it, because we just met 4 new great people who seen real legit. I have only meet them all once or twice but they are really cool people who want to learn and do the right thing!

Rena Rozales got Baptized and that was a great thing. When she got confirmed she said that her head started to tingle when we put are hands on our head! So next time we talk with her we will let her know what that was.

Love you all
